In order to play Fish World, you will need a Facebook account as Fish World is currently only available on Facebook. Once you start playing Fish World, you will likely want to invite your friends to play as well. As with the other popular social networking games, Fish World can be more fun when your friends play too.

The first thing you must do to play Fish World is find it on Facebook. You can accomplish this in several ways, but the easiest is to search for it within Facebook. Simply type 'Fish World' in the search box located in the upper right corner of your Facebook homepage. Then, in the search results, you will see Fish World listed under Pages. Click either the icon or the name and you will be taken to the Fish World page. From here, you will see a box in the upper left corner, right below the Fish World icon. In that box, you will see a link under the title Go Play. Click the link and this will take you to a window asking for access. Click the Allow button to enable Fish World access to your profile information.

When you start Fish World for the first time, you will be taken through a quick tutorial to teach you some of the basics involved in playing the game. This should only take a minute or so, and it is a very good overview of the game. It will teach you the key concepts and basics you will need to have a happy fish tank.

You are now ready to play Fish World. Browse around and familiarize yourself with the different decorations, backgrounds, and types of fish you can purchase. If some of your friends are already playing, you will see them on the bottom of the screen. Click on them to take a look at their virtual fish tanks. You will earn coins for cleaning their tanks and doing other neighborly things to keep their fish happy. Sometimes, if they have not fed their fish recently, you will be able to revive their fish. A newer feature now allows you to also steal one of their fish. However, if you do not have any friends currently playing, click the box on the bottom that says 'Click Here to Invite a Friend' to invite your friends to play along with you. This can make your experience a lot more enjoyable.
